The Aime Leon Dore x New Balance 990 is one of two colorways of the lifestyle sneaker created by the New York City premium streetwear brand in the fall of 2019. Having worked together on previous projects, the anticipation for this one-two punch of high quality, timeless designs caused such a stir at Aime Leon Dore’s in-store release that the NYPD cancelled the event. As for the sneakers, this 990 model sports upgraded materials such as a dark green suede mid-panel with a contrasting grey suede toe cap and heel. Blue suede overlays appear on the forefoot and ankle collar with a beige mesh base pulling the look together. Yellow accents and laces offer a welcome pop of color and a “ALD” branding window covers the heel. The Aime Leon Dore x New Balance 990 M990AL2 was released on November 15, 2019.
